SoCS 2011: The Fourth Annual Symposium on Combinatorial Search
Awards at SoCS'11
The organizers of the Fourth Symposium on Combinatorial Search are proud to announce that there are three awards presented this year:
- Best paper award. The paper chosen to receive this award was also presented at IJCAI (thanks to the organizers of IJCAI!).
The paper selected to receive this award is "All PSPACE-complete Planning Problems are Equal but some are more Equal than Others," by Christer Bäckström and Peter Jonsson.
- Best student paper award. A student has to be the first author on a paper in order to be considered for this award.
The paper selected to receive this award is "A Critical Evaluation of Machine Learning in Algorithm Selection for Search Problems," by Lars Kotthoff, Ian Gent and Ian Miguel.
- Best Programme Committee member. This award recognizes the PC member whose efforts to maintain the quality of the reviewing process at SoCS were outstanding.
Rob Holte was selected to receive this award.
